Help AOA Collect Diversity Data
AOA First Past President Regis J. O'Keefe, MD, PhD, FAOA has done much to lead the effort to address the need for greater diversity
in the orthopaedic profession. His challenge to the AOA has resulted in the AOA Executive Committee approving the incorporation of diversity initiatives into the organization's strategic priorities.
We've made some outstanding progress towards accomplishing these goals during the past year and there are plans to further expand on these efforts in 2018 and beyond.
We need your help
In order to set realistic diversity goals and measure exactly where we stand, the AOA needs your assistance. We need more accurate information from members like you in regard to the gender and ethnicity of our membership.
Please login to the AOA website
and update the "Gender" and "Ethnicity" sections of your profile. After signing in, click on "My AOA" at the top of the page, then select "My Contact Information" or click on the little pencil next to your name on the left. The gender and ethnicity fields are found under the "My Details" section. We will use the new data to get a better sense of the current diversity landscape.
